United Public Safety's latest tool CodeCite utilizes the same innovative interface as their ToCite parking and permitting solution, CodeCite delivers an efficient and complete cloud-based code enforcement experience.
CodeCite operates flawlessly on every ultra-rugged device from UPsafety (the N4, N5Print, and the N5Scan) as well as your own Android device. With CodeCite, enforcement officers can quickly and efficiently document code violations by capturing up to three on-the-spot images as evidence. After the appropriate data is entered into the “House Number” and “Street” fields, the CodeCite software crosschecks the address for prior violations and can also apply escalating fines for repeat scofflaw violators.
Once completed, CodeCite automatically uploads the violation data and photo evidence into the Cloud for immediate viewing back at the office—no ticket transcription is needed whereby eliminating transcription time and errors. Enforcement officers using the N5 mobile handhelds or an N4 paired printer may then print an optional weatherproof ticket containing the collected violation data, officer signature, and one of the evidence images. CodeCite also allows for convenient violation payments online via a customized e-Commerce site.
Beyond increasing speed and accuracy for citing code violations, CodeCite offers another level of protection for officers in the field using the N4 and N5 hardware. Specifically, UPsafety includes a convenient ALERT button on the hardware that can be programmed to send an SMS text message while running an unrelated application or no application at all.
